Radipole Lake & Lodmoor RSPB Bird Reserves
Near Weymouth. At Radipole Lake the large reedbed, open water and flood meadows attract a wide variety of birds, open all year.
The Lodmoor Nature Reserve
Good at all times of year with breeding, passage and wintering birds.
The RSPB and Brownsea Island Ferries operate the Poole Bird Boat, 2 hr trip. Ring for dates and details.

Dorset Wildlife Trust
Look at the Dorset Wildlife Trust website for all the information you need on the various sites in Dorset.
This caused much national interest when it came on the open market in the late 1980's because it had been untouched by all modern farming methods. With its unimproved grassland, ancient hedgerows, green lanes, ponds and streams it remains rich in its variety of grasses, herbs, lichens, butterflies and fungi.
This near to Kingcombe Meadows is also well worth a walk.
The Kingcombe Centre
Kingcombe Meadows and Powerstock Common are about 5 minutes in a car, up to the A35, straight over, at T Juncion turn left. At next T junction you are on Eggardon Hill, fabulous! Turn right for Powerstock Common and Kingcombe. The Kingcombe Centre should be able to give you any further details:
